What is Abound?
Abound is an Arts development organisation that was initiated by Church on the Ridge. The aim of Abound is to love our neighbour, by bringing beauty to the city, primarily through the medium of the Arts. We aim to do this by hosting events in and around the city of Pietermaritzburg, such as live jazz concerts, poetry readings, film festivals and other cultural events.

I just want to thank you for some superb jazz last night, it was a real treat. And Abound’s idea to nurture the arts in Pietermaritzburg is an inspiration. As Camus said, “The aim of art, the aim of life can only be to increase the sum of freedom and responsibility to be found in every person in the world”. Among other things, eh.
